Backyard fun

It's our last day of sunshine in Portland (at least for a few days), so I was VERY excited to spend a few hours of it outside with this sweet, sweet family.

Miss J

We took a road trip to California this past August to visit our family.  While we were there, I was able to spend some special time with my niece capturing a few images of her.  It was a fun, playful,model-esque shoot.  I'm so happy we found the time to pull it all together.

Brothers...

A sweet summer-time shoot with two brothers.  I had so much fun hanging out with them and watching them explore.  They also had a lot to show me in their garden, including some yummy raspberries and currants!  










Weddings...

I love weddings.  Scratch that.  I REALLY love weddings.  They inspire me.  They fill me up with hope and give me butterflies in my tummy.  

I was so honored to be a witness to this wedding last week.  The bride and groom were so full of love and admiration for each other.  Everything was given so much thought and attention... and love.  Words just don't do it justice.  

SO... Here are a few of my favorite images from my time with them. My hope is that they convey what I was trying to put into words and more.



















H Family

I've been dreaming about a warm summer day since March. There's nothing like a sunny day full of play and hanging out with friends. We did a lot of that this weekend and as the forecast predicts more rain in our future, I'm already longing for the sun to return.

I also get to take a lot more pictures when the rain isn't falling :) Today I hung out with the H family and had a blast. Mom and dad were a huge help keeping the kids happy while I did my thing. Check out the cheeks on these little cuties... they were hard to resist!

Baby K is Turning 1

This little beauty is turning 1 very soon. I was lucky enough to have a mini session with baby K and her mama recently. Baby K has such a sweet soul and the cutest crinkly-nose smile that the camera loves. I'm looking forward to taking many more pictures of this little one. :)
